Ping's Pigeons

        I think a curse has been broken, after eight years of flying emiels, wala pa kasing nakakarating ng derby na barako sa loft ko. It almost didn't happen when Ragay smash happened last week. I was training four cocks walang nag day bird. Luckily two made it the next day, yes! First time ko makakapag load ng barako na emiel. I raced four young birds sa GWRPA, three hens one cock. Yung tatlong hen 1,100 lahat speed I was even filming their arrival. Tapos wala na dumating, my cut off was 1:31 p.m. Mag aalas dose na wala pa yung cock. Fb fb lang dI ko namalayan nakadapo na sya sa landing board, YES!!! I'm devirginized ha ha.       Ay teka, I almost forgot, me dalawa pa ko young bird sa BFRC, the hen made it home with a speed of just 800 plus, ok na ko dun, the cock didn't make it.       Last year I admit, my south warriors were inferior. Pakpak pa lang alam ko na there's something wrong with them. True enough sa sobrang panget nila wala man lang nakarating sa qualifying ng PHA MacArthur race. Pero di ko matanggap na di ako mag lo-load ng Sariaya ha ha. So what I did was I asked one of my friends to toss a south warrior of mine na kinulong ko na for breeding purpose sana kaya lang no choice na, gusto ko talaga makapag load man lang kahit sa qualifying. For 3 days pinahagis ko sa Marikina yung kalapati ko na nakakauwi naman. Then came Sariaya loading ng PHA, sobra excited ako feeling ko totoo ha ha. Nag pa picture pa ko sa truck remembrance lang ha ha. Then kinabukasan inantay ko di nakauwi, pag tinatanong ako sabi ko nakauwi di ko na ilo load sa MacArthur mawawala lang kako, di ko maamin nawala na talaga ha ha.      Then last Sunday, last training na ng south race i loaded 9 warriors sa Ragay training. Back in early 2005 when I was introduced to pigeon racing, the first thing I did was to sell all my fancy pigeons and bought myself two squabs in Bocaue. Around July of that year my friend told me there will be a special pooling before GWRPA training starts. I don't remember where exactly but its somewhere in Pangasinan. I entered the two pigeons i bought in Bocaue. I remember feeling so nervous as they were explaining to me what I will do in case my pigeon comes home the next day. I will admit I think I didn't sleep well that night. Madilim pa bumangon na ko nag aabang sa labas as if dadating ng ganung oras yung kalapati ha ha. I was sitting in front of my loft when my dad saw me and asked  what I was doing. When I told him I was waiting for my birds to come home from Pangasinan, "makakauwi ba yun?", as if to answer his question, both of my pigeons suddenlly made an appearance.      In my previous blog entry, I wrote about some of my achievements. One of those was the fact that I was lucky enough to get a trophy in all the clubs I did join. This year I was able to better that, because of Trina's 15th overall finish in MMFC, I now  have an overall in all the clubs I played for. I just hope that I can have a higher placement in MMFC in the near future. Crossing my fingers he he.      Early this year wala naman sa plans ko lumipad sa MMFC, my good friend forced me to buy at least one set of rings para daw me kasama sya. Out of the four rings, tatlo lang nakarating sa derby proper, namatay yung isa. Smooth sailing naman yung training natapos  nung tatlo kaya lang nung 1st lap which is Cauayan dalawa lang nag clock, yung barako hapon na umuwi. At this time me humingi sakin ng donation para sa auction, i donated him, that left me with two live birds, both hen. Pag dating ng Tuguegarao, isa na lang live ko, as usual kikibot kibot na naman lagi na lang isa natitira sakin. Nung loading ng Laoag, nakawala pa yung live bird ko sa training box that got me thinking, napaka bwenas ko kung di ko sya nahuli bokya ako ngayon he he.      Last lap na next week, I was so suppose to wait for it bago ako mag update, but what the heck. I was actually worried the whole week. My warrior is kinda heavy from the start pero pag kauwi nya ng Laoag ang gaan na nya. Yung gaang nya nakakapanibago as in magaan talaga. Pinagiisip tuloy ako kung kakayanin nya yung Aparri, although wala naman ako nakitang change sa appearance saka sa galaw nya. Last Sunday was so intense, sobra init. From Cauayan to Laoag my baby clocked at 1,000 consistently, but this is different kasi Aparri na to. So when she didn't arrive at my expected time na tense na ko. Kumakabog dibdib ko sa nerbyos. De635 and Pinky were also consistent pero 900 pababa speed nila lagi. My yb was different kasi 1k sya lagi. Baka pag di sya nag clock around that speed she might not make it. Plus there are reports already na konti pa lang nagpapauwi. My cut off was around 4:30 yata so when it was past 3 na i was losing hope. Suddently me kalapati nag dive tap...

     It was a typical Friday, at around 7 p.m. I went to my loft to get my warrior. I used my smallest training box kasi isa na lang naman ibon ko ilo-load. I placed the training box on top of the table sa terrace and went inside. I was in my room when i heard my mom shouting "Ping yung kalapate mo nakawala!!! I run out and when I saw my pigeon standing outside the training box, i froze. I don't know how long I stood still but when I snapped out of it I thought of turning off all the lights. Caught her, and clocked Laoag at around 12:39 on my clock. Oh di ba ha ha
