2nd Bulacan Poultry Show (National Fancy Pigeon Show) 2019

     I wasn't planning on joining this year medyo hectic ang schedule. Mas gusto ko sana magpahinga na lang sa bahay. It was gonna be held on Saturday, e Sunday me awarding ako dadaluhan sa Province din. But on the day of the show I decided what the heck, makasali na nga din. Nung umaga lang ako pumili ng ilalaban, Ayoko maglaban ng nanalo na sa show, gusto ko iba naman. I chose the Opal Bar first. Father nya yung nanalo last year Best in show din sa Off Color Category. Iniisip ko na kung makukuha din ba nya yung title. Kino-compare ko kasi sila mas gwapo pa din kasi yung tatay. Sa Barless naman I was choosing beteen the cock and the hen, I decided on the cock na lang. One more, gusto ko tatlo, yung young bird ko sa BFRC this year. Pero nagaalangan ako kasi loading ng gabi baka ma stress.

     So to cut the long story short. My Opal Bar  won 1st Place Opal Bar Category and Best in Breed Off Color Racing Pigeon. Sobrang nakaka proud kasi na duplicate nya yung ginawa ng tatay nya. What's more interesting is pareho ginawa nilang lipad nung nilaban ko sila sa club as young birds. Both of them na cutoff sa last two laps ng Summer Race. Yung father cutoff sa Aparri and Sta. Ana, while sya naman cutoff sa Sta. Ana and Pagudpod, although mas malayo yata Pagudpod. 

     My Barless won 1st Place Barless Category while yung youngbird ko sa BFRC this year won 2nd Place Opal Category. Di na ko lumaban sa overalan kasi I have to go home na, di pa kumakain mga kalapati ko saka me loading pa that night.

My Program

Breeding is GOLD, maintenance is silver. I read it somewhere, forgot where but somehow it got stuck on my mind. And it became my guide. Hindi ako nagpupurga, hindi rin ako nagbabakuna. I only use breeder mix both sa breeders and young birds ko. I don't use antibiotics din. Isang beses lang ako magpa loft fly sa umaga pagka gising not because of anything, pero yun lang time ko na pwede magpaligid kasi me work ako, wala ako loftman. Dami nagtatanong pano daw mag conditioning sa training o derby, kung sa training o derby pa lang kayo mag start mag condition late na kayo. Dapat breeding pa lang nagku condition na. Versele Laga glucose, 3 to 4 times a week ako maglagay sa water, pag training sa arrival. Pag ka pares ko ng breeders sinusubuan ko araw araw ng calcium, yung pang manok mura lang 20 pesos lang ata isa bote nun. Saka Brewer's Yeast sa Mercury nabibili. Saka paminsan minsan b-complex lalo na pag yung hen namimilay pag umiitlog. Pagka pisa ng itlog i wait for 6 days

Overall (GWRPA, SUPRA, BFRC & MMFC)

     In my previous blog entry, I wrote about some of my achievements. One of those was the fact that I was lucky enough to get a trophy in all the clubs I did join. This year I was able to better that, because of Trina's 15th overall finish in MMFC, I now  have an overall in all the clubs I played for. I just hope that I can have a higher placement in MMFC in the near future. Crossing my fingers he he. Pacquaio - 1st Overall Champion (Solo Live) GWRPA North Young Bird Category 2006 Calbayog Queen - 2nd Overall SUPRA South Young Bird Category 2008 (Although 2nd lang sya, for me champion na rin kasi natalo lang naman ako ng 1st overall  champion by a mere 7 points) Pinky - 1st Overall BFRC North Old Bird Category
