When De635 laid an egg the day before the Mcarthur loading, it was a nightmare. Little did I know it would lead to a dream come true.  For so many years i wanted to snatch my second championship. Ang daming muntikan na, i almost had it with Calbayog Queen when she finished 2nd O.A. back in 2008 losing to a mere 7 points sa overall ranking. It was heartbreaking for me, 2nd overall ako nun pero instead of being happy i was very sad at that time. Siningsingan ko ng BFRC ring si Macky pero di ko sya nilaban. I had other plans for him, and it was good. Unang anak pa lang nya sakin Solo Champion agad binigay. I hope it won't be the last. Macky ha?

 Looking back i made some cool records for my self in pigeon racing, let me see: 1. I'm the first in Bulacan to have clocked 2 years in a row sa PHA McArthur race 2. I won 2 Championships both solo winners (meaning they are the only complete clocking bird in their      category) 3. I have four 12th Overall winners in my loft ha ha, suki. 4. I played for GWRPA, BFRC, SUPRA, MMFC and PHA, and i have a trophy in all five clubs 5. When De635 clocked 1st in Catbalogan, it took 1 hour bago nasundan ng 2nd bird, one hour to this day i still can't get over it 6. When De635 came home from Mcarthur, Leyte, the 1st thing i did was to take a shower and when i reached NLEX saka ko lang sya na clock ha ha, maybe i wasted around 40 minutes. 7. I wasn't really waiting for De635 to come home kasi nangitlog sya nung loading, the egg she laid nabuhay ko i named Macky, na tatay ng 1st Overall Champ ko ng BFRC. 8. When in comes to breeding parang me switch na nag o-on nagiging OCD ako. Di ako mapakali, silip ako ng silip, always checking. Ang dami kong ayaw ang dami kong gusto. Ayaw ko ng barako, ayaw ko ng malaki, gusto ko hen, gusto ko maliit. Thru the years na master ko na pagpili sa hen, kailangan hen lang talaga. Napipilitan lang ako na gamitin yung cock pag naubusan na ko ng time mag breed. That's always the case every year, im actually annoyed sa practice ko pero nakadikit na sa buto ko di ko na kayang baguhin. I would buy 20 rings but i'd end up using only about 10 rings or less, tapos papamigay ko na yung iba. Ganun ako ka aksaya. Minsan nagliligid na yung young bird pero pag di ko talaga type di ko makakatulugan yun. Breeding starts again. Obsessive-compulsive disorder begins.

Breeding is GOLD, maintenance is silver. I read it somewhere, forgot where but somehow it got stuck on my mind. And it became my guide. Hindi ako nagpupurga, hindi rin ako nagbabakuna. I only use breeder mix both sa breeders and young birds ko. I don't use antibiotics din. Isang beses lang ako magpa loft fly sa umaga pagka gising not because of anything, pero yun lang time ko na pwede magpaligid kasi me work ako, wala ako loftman. Dami nagtatanong pano daw mag conditioning sa training o derby, kung sa training o derby pa lang kayo mag start mag condition late na kayo. Dapat breeding pa lang nagku condition na. Versele Laga glucose, 3 to 4 times a week ako maglagay sa water, pag training sa arrival. Pag ka pares ko ng breeders sinusubuan ko araw araw ng calcium, yung pang manok mura lang 20 pesos lang ata isa bote nun. Saka Brewer's Yeast sa Mercury nabibili. Saka paminsan minsan b-complex lalo na pag yung hen namimilay pag umiitlog. Pagka pisa ng itlog i wait for 6 days ...

I didn't even realized it till now oo nga pala sya nanay ng Mcarthur clocker ko saka ng solo champ ko this year. Last year she was one of my warriors for south and Mcarthur together with De635, my BFRC and Mcarthur winner, but she failed to clock in Matnog. After two weeks she went home with an injury from the neck down to her tail, it was so bad she was flightless for months. But she recovered eventually and when i bred her for first time she gave me a daughter who would placed 81st in the 3rd PHA Combine Mcarthur Race of 2014. Later another daughter would win the Solo Championship for the Old Bird Category of BFRC South Race 2014

Nung first time ako sumama kila Mariano Lee way back in 2006 para maka acquire ng ibon nya ako yung last pick, i talked about it in my previous entry. And they say the rest is history. This year naaya ulit ako sumama kila Mariano, after 8 years bibili ulit ako he he, naghahanap lang si Vergel ng at least 10 persons na bibili kasi yun gusto ni Mariano. Kaya lang di kami maka abot ng sampu so nung anim na yung kalapating bibilin sabi ni Vergel pwede na yun so pumunta na kami. Apat kami sa kotse on the way sabi ni Vergel bunutan ulit 1 to 6. Ako na daw unang bumunot. Sabi ko pucha aapat na lang tayo dito pag naman pang huli pa ulit ako ewan ko na lang. Bunot! Ayun pang ANIM.

Favorite na favorite ko sya pichon pa lang hanggang sa derby. 7 laps ang laban pero sadly sa smash race ng Aparri 2 namin na cut off sya pero 12th Overall pa rin naman sya sa derby so ok na rin
