The Wait Is Over


I thought i was going to wait a long time before i win again, whew! After I won the Championship in 2006, I competed in the South Race of 2007. I was only able to clock as far as Legaspi, talk about a bummer. From champion to nothing? Not even a runner up finish?Aghhh. Then came the North Race of 2007. I entered 6 birds and I was ecstatic. I was able to clock all of them in Ilagan, but that's about it. Nagkapurna purnada na. Minsan nakaka asar na, parang chamba lang ba. My luck change pagpasok ng 2008, I joined 2 clubs, Sta. Maria Unified Pigeon Racing Asso. (SUPRA) and Golden Wings Racing Pigeon Club (GWRPC). Sa Golden Wings I clocked as far as Legaspi lang tapos bokya na naman, pero sa SUPRA bwenas 5th overall ako muntik pa mag champion. Then nagkaroon ng Summer race, 2 nilaban ko, yung 1 anak ng champion ko nung 2006, yung 1 kapatid ng 5th overall nung South. Ang laban Vigan, Laoag and Burgos, yung kapatid ng 5th overall ko butas ng Laoag, pero yung anak ng champ ko complete clocking. What's amazing is nung Burgos naserga pa sya pero na i-clock ko pa rin sya, good enough for 8th overall placing. Nag announce ang Golden Wings na me laban sila Vigan, Tuguegarao at Loaog. Nilaban ko ulit yung 2, 5 lang nag clock sa Vigan, kasama na yung 2 ko he he. They won 2,670.00 each kaya nag pakain na naman ako sa barkada ha ha

My Program

Breeding is GOLD, maintenance is silver. I read it somewhere, forgot where but somehow it got stuck on my mind. And it became my guide. Hindi ako nagpupurga, hindi rin ako nagbabakuna. I only use breeder mix both sa breeders and young birds ko. I don't use antibiotics din. Isang beses lang ako magpa loft fly sa umaga pagka gising not because of anything, pero yun lang time ko na pwede magpaligid kasi me work ako, wala ako loftman. Dami nagtatanong pano daw mag conditioning sa training o derby, kung sa training o derby pa lang kayo mag start mag condition late na kayo. Dapat breeding pa lang nagku condition na. Versele Laga glucose, 3 to 4 times a week ako maglagay sa water, pag training sa arrival. Pag ka pares ko ng breeders sinusubuan ko araw araw ng calcium, yung pang manok mura lang 20 pesos lang ata isa bote nun. Saka Brewer's Yeast sa Mercury nabibili. Saka paminsan minsan b-complex lalo na pag yung hen namimilay pag umiitlog. Pagka pisa ng itlog i wait for 6 days

Overall (GWRPA, SUPRA, BFRC & MMFC)

     In my previous blog entry, I wrote about some of my achievements. One of those was the fact that I was lucky enough to get a trophy in all the clubs I did join. This year I was able to better that, because of Trina's 15th overall finish in MMFC, I now  have an overall in all the clubs I played for. I just hope that I can have a higher placement in MMFC in the near future. Crossing my fingers he he. Pacquaio - 1st Overall Champion (Solo Live) GWRPA North Young Bird Category 2006 Calbayog Queen - 2nd Overall SUPRA South Young Bird Category 2008 (Although 2nd lang sya, for me champion na rin kasi natalo lang naman ako ng 1st overall  champion by a mere 7 points) Pinky - 1st Overall BFRC North Old Bird Category
