1st Bulacan Poultry Show Breeders and Hobbyist Fancy Pigeon Show

     I never realized it but I forgot to post this. I'm having senior moments. I was aware of this pigeon show weeks before but I never really threw serious thoughts about joining. It was scheduled on the 8th of September, a Saturday. Friday at the office, I was telling my officemates that a pigeon show is gonna be held at the provincial grounds where I work. I was thinking of joining but I have a reunion of sorts with my friends so I was a little hesitant to participate. 

     When I woke up the next day there was an urge to join, so I went to my loft and I was sorting thru my pigeons and choosing who I want to bring. Pero ayokong isali ulit yung nanalo ko na dati sa Genetix, I want to challenge my self. so I chose three. The Opal Bar (on the picture), a BFRC Summer Race finisher, he flew Sta. Ana, Cagayan twice but did not clock, a black and another opal. On my way to Malolos, there was a sudden thought. Parang nasimplehan ako sa dala ko. Nothing spectacular. Baka pagdating ko dun magulat ako sa kulay ng mga sumali. When I arrived I went straight to registration. I put my three warriors on their assigned cages and left to get lunch. Oh I was alone. While I was eating lunch, a friend of mine sent me three pictures of my pigeons. Sabi nya " Ping kahit di mo sabihin alam ko eto kalapati mo. Tinding saka ichura pa lang alam ko sayo na to" I felt kinda proud. Nobody knew I brought three pigeons pero tumbok nya. It was a verly long day at the competition napakainit pa. Medyo sa huli pa yung sinalihan kong category. 

     Everytime me matatapos na category the announcer would say yung mga hindi nanalong kalapati pakialis na daw. So that was the practice. Nung off color racing pigeon na yung jinu-judge I went out. Di ko kaya manood mas ninenerbyos ako. A few minutes later, the organizer called me, sabi nya " Ping paki alis na kalapati mo talo e" Ah ganun ba kako, so I went in, I saw two cages with trophies, wait, those are my pigeons. 2nd and 3rd place. wow really? Asan yung isa ko? "Lumalaban pa daw, best in category. Then one judge said this one won. "Who owns this? I said Me. He told me "I'm a racer too. Unang tingin ko pa lang sabi ko tapos na laban." I was floored. Wow! Thank you. So he won best in Racing Pigeon which is one of the eleven categories that competition.
